Special Requirements:
A valid driver license is required.
Limited travel is required.
This position may require early/late work days, and
attendance at public hearings, and public workshops which occur in the
evening hours.
Bachelor’s degree in City Planning or Engineering
is a plus.
Applicants will be responsible for assisting with
the administration of several program areas, including: Strategic
Intermodal System (SIS) and Florida Intrastate Highway System (FIHS)
planning; Transportation Enhancements; County Incentive Grant Program (CIGP);
corridor planning studies; growth management reviews; and support to the
Project Development, and Environmental Management sections. The
incumbent should be able to demonstrate knowledge in the areas of work
program, financial administration, and consultant / contract management.
Experience with traffic impact analysis, traffic
operations; and/or travel demand modeling is a plus.
Strong organizational skills are required,
including the ability to manage time effectively, and to maintain an
organized file system. In addition, the position requires the ability to
deal sensitively and effectively with the public and elected officials.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledgeable of state and federal statutes and
how to apply these to the planning process.
2. Knowledgeable of work program, and financial
management systems.
3. Knowledgeable of and skilled at managing joint
participation agreements, and local government grant agreements.
4. Knowledge and skills to perform technical
reviews of consultant and local government work products.
5. Knowledgeable of and skilled at processing
consultant invoices.
6. Knowledgeable of and skilled at dealing with the
public, and outside agency personnel.
7. Knowledgeable of the correct use of English
grammar and punctuation in communicating spoken and written business
product.
8. Knowledgeable of and skilled at creating
documents using the intermediate features of the current computer
programs.
9. Knowledgeable of and skilled at organizing,
planning and managing time effectively.
10. Skilled at maintaining and organized filing
system.
11. Knowledgeable of and skilled at establishing
and maintaining effective working relationships with others.

will be involved in some of the most challenging transportation

Under contract to the principal transportation
agencies in South Florida you will be involved in the preparation of
engineering reports, studies and analyses in a diversity of areas:
traffic operations, safety, access management, intelligent

Position Details and requirements:
* Traffic operations studies, safety/crash

* Experience with HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Paramics,

transportation modeling group, seeks transportation modelers. The
candidate will work with, develop, install and/or modify transportation

Requirements:
Transportation Modeler (Broward County)
1+ years of experience with an engineering consulting firm
Bachelors in Civil Engineering
Preference given to candidates with an Advanced Degrees in
Transportation Engineering or Planning.
Experience with Cube/Voyager, TRANSCAD, and/or TP+
Understanding of computer programming FORTRAN, VB, C++
Strong technical understanding of travel demand modeling.

City, Florida
Responsibilities will include serving on the Earth Tech team on
transportation projects in Florida, including Florida Department of
Transportation as well as other agencies. Qualified candidates must have
a B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent; M.S. preferred. Florida P.E.
license required. Should have a minimum of 20 years recent experience
with FDOT project construction and a broad background in FDOT roadway
design to include project management. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are necessary, as well as highly developed
management and personnel skills, with 10+ years experience
in Utility Coordination or CEI desirable.
